The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is Australias regulator for all heavy vehicles. Their vision is to have a safe, efficient, and productive heavy vehicle industry serving the needs of Australia, with a strong commitment to customer service.


The Operations Division ensures continued and improved operational processes for customers and service users of the NHVR. Accountable for safety and compliance across NHVR. Providing support in the delivery of an efficient and accurate application process, which at times may be complex.

About the role:

The position will see you providing exceptional service to all customers and stakeholder. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will deliver an efficient and accurate application process including alignment to business priorities of safety and compliance and provide advice as it relates to heavy vehicles, infrastructure and technology solutions to support applications and case management, which may at times be complex in nature


What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and highly effective team to ensure best outcomes and where standards are achieved
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Well-developed analytical, problem solving and evaluation skills and the ability to apply sound judgement to decision making.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire, a sound working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • High levels of motivation and a commitment to your own performance with the ability to receive and provide constructive feedback
  • A great team player who can build and maintain great relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A keen interest in transport, logistics and heavy vehicles is a distinct advantage
  • Strong PC and system skills

This full time position will see you working 38 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Induction training will be provided in a blended environment where you will learn systems, processes and procedures.
