Job description

Working as a Customer Experience Officer for this Vocational Education leader gives you the rare opportunity to assist people in making important decisions regarding their study options, which will ultimately impact their future.


These positions are working within a face-to-face capacity with students. You may on occasion be required to support the team in other areas such as the contact centre, administration support and processing.


What will you do?


  • Speaking with students about courses, enrolment processes and payments.
  • Proactively promote the organisation's range of products and services to increase conversions.
  • Coordinate customer service requests and transactions in a high volume environment, providing general information and professional advice ensuring customer needs are continuously met.
  • Achieve individual key performance indicators including adherence, data quality, convert opportunity and average handle time.

When will I do it?


You will work Monday to Friday in a rotating roster between the hours of 8.00am and 5.30pm. There will be some weeks where you are required to work extended hours till 8pm. You must be able to commit to every day of the assignment except the Christmas campus closure from 23rd of December to 3rd of January. As a temporary employee you will be remunerated on an hourly rate of $36.45 per hour plus super.


These roles are supporting a peak business period commencing for training 25th November. This assignment will run for an initial period until 14th February unless business needs dictate otherwise.

During training (approximately 2 weeks) hours will be 8.30am - 4.00pm (35hrs/week). Following training, hours will ramp up to 36.25 - 38hrs per week with then some overtime requirements during the peak periods. Some weekend work during peak periods may be required.


What will you bring to the role?


  • You will have a real passion for customer service and a genuine interest in helping people - this is not just a job but an opportunity to change lives.
  • High volume customer service experience
  • Inbound sales experience is desirable
  • You will have a desire for learning and ongoing self-education.
  • You will enjoy working through problems and providing solutions.
  • You will be a strong team player, with the ability to work autonomously while providing individual phone service to members.
  • You will be able to pick up and use multiple systems on each call.

You must be available every day of the assignment as no leave will be considered during the peak business period. A compulsory criminal history check will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
